Default what does this mean?

i have a 98 type r. i went racing on the weekend and when i was power shifting to second the rpms went back down to 3,000 usually the rpms stay up in the vtec range but i dont understand what happened yesterday . Could it be that my clutch is going out or is something wrong with my motor? anything will help thanks!!

i was power shifting

perhaps that might have something to do with it.

yeah i always try to power shift but dosent work all the time cause i am still a rookie...........oh yeah duh...... yes jdm header

thanks Rob but what is a stock rev limit on the 98 type r cause mine came with the skunk 2 ecu with 10,000 rev limit

Are you looking to destroy your tranny or your motor?

10K rpm redline is great if your motor is built for it. To check if your motor is built for it, go up a steep hill in 1st gear until you hit fuel cut off

By power shifting do you mean shifting fast without letting off gas...cause that's what power shifting is to me. Power shifting

Be nice to your tranny unless you love changing synchro's and clutch's.

yeah but is it ok to do that........i know i dont have aftermarket retainers/valves/springs but i just thought that it can handle it....

yeh itr valvetrain is good to 13k or more, have you ever thought of double clutching when you powershift tho? ive heard you can pick up .2 in the 1/4

whats so funny? i dont get it. casey, who doesnt know why this guy is getting laughed at for shifting at 9.5k on stock valvetrain while powershifting and landing at 3k rpm because of the fuel cutoff
