wont start. drove to work and parked it. tried to restart it and get a slow clicking noise. attached is a video please help me out

grounds are checked. battery post are clean. i have to charge battery every so often for it to hold a charge last charge was 2 days ago. could be bad alternator or battery? ignition switch?

Sounds like a battery gone bad.

Jump start it.
Disconnect the positive connector and see if it still runs.
If it does, then the alternator is probably good.
If you have a voltmeter, check to see what the voltage is while it's running.

well i decided to get a jump and wtf do you know fires right up. so either alternator or battery. called my speed shop for a high performance alternator and need opinions on batteries.

Since it's running on a jump, but can't start under battery power I would give it a 99% probability that your battery is gone.
How old is it? Cheap ones last about 3 years. Better ones get a year or two more.

If it's less than 3 years old, have your alternator checked. It might be under or overcharging.

sounds to me like your altentator is bad take it out and have it tested.

battery is from junkyard for the cheap so idn if they recharged n repacked or what but what would good battery to use to a average vitara build no msd or stereo system. max of 4 gauges and hids and bumper lights wired all the time. also seems when i hit my break at idle the rpm will move up n drop back to normal idle.
