EF9 wont pass smog!! Need Help
So I took it to get it smogged the first time and it passed smog with perfect numbers, all I needed to do was put a pcv grommet on and adjust the timing to 14, for him to pass it, so I did that. Then I took it back the second time and it didn't pass at IDLE. Does anyone know what the problem could be?
Here are the numbers at idle.
RPM-935
CO2-MEAS-8.70
02-MEAS-2.60
HC-MAX-120-AVE-29-MEAS-155
CO-MAX-1.00-AVE-0.10-MEAS-0.19

I replaced the cap, rotor and plugs before the smog test. And i just checked the timing again and its at 14. I'm thinking about getting some seafoam to clean out all the carbons..

Woops... read that wrong.
Thought you had high Co and HC. (C02 messed me up somehow)
HC caused by ignition problems - typically too advanced (did you make sure to short the service connector when you checked/set timing?)
Old and worn components are also culprits - all that would be left are your wires.
Burnt valves also cause high HC.
Leaky
Do a compression check.
Low compression will do you in.
