Default Racing Series in Seattle area?

I would love to get into a amateur racing series. I own a civic and are looking to mod it into a track ready car or just getting another car to mod into a track ready car. I know there is Pacific Speedways east of Seattle but other than that I don't know what else there is out there. I am a complete novice but really want to get into this. I am almost done with college so I will soon have the money and the time to do something like this. Any help you can offer is welcome.

There's a pretty good group of us that do regular track events and autocrosses. The calendar for autocross is at http://www.wwscc.org . Get your feet wet at a few of those and go from there.

You could also spectate or help out at a road race or two - either at PR or at Bremerton. Try...

http://www.nwr-scca.org/ (NW Region Sports Car Club of America)
http://www.icscc.com/ (International Conference of Sports Car Clubs, called "Conference" in conversation)

Either one will give you some exposure to what is up. Have fun and be safe!

You're welcome to come down to Portland and hang around. September 28-29 is our last Conference race at PIR. It would be a good intro to club racing and there will be a dozen or so Honda cars that you could check out. And we're offering race car rides at lunch on both days in order to raise money for a local children's hospital... what a way to see what it's like!

It's really important to invest some time at the track and get a chance to learn what others are doing before you jump in with your race car build. Doing so might save you $$ and a lot headaches.

Good Luck
