Well, since they obviously don't hold cups too well...so I keep my sunglasses down there, what do you use yours for?

On the real though, i'm guessing your only talking about 92-95 civics. I put small fountain drinks, energy drinks, coffee, and whatever else. Is this tech or?

 

All civics really i have an ej8 but had an eg hatchie before that and they work about the same.. had the 96-98 cup holders and swapped to the 99-00 ones, they just look better...

 

i use the one in my 94 coupe to impress people with its spring loaded action! oooooooohhhhhhhh yeah

every one always says they dont work. but i put coffee cups, mcdonalds cups, pop cans. and ive never had them spill? just dont extra large your drinks.

 

i only have issues with mine with pop bottles, they always full over.
never an issue with it besides that, not driving like an *** also helps.

my cup holders always made me drive with a little more sense... so I always try and keep something in them hahaha

I have sometimes used it to place my phone or ipod in betwwen a cup holder...

 

I ditched mine and got the optional audio console and put Ford Taurus cup holders up in my radio slot. If those suckers can hold a Slushee at 70mph swerving across 3 lanes of Chicago traffic, I'd say they're pretty darn good. (Long story involving an LS/VTEC block and my girl on the way home from Wisconsin)

 

hah i store fuses headphones and a buttload of change in there. del sol ones.

absolutely useless. and if your friend is nice enough to not pay attention they slam their arm on the top of it and crush the can in it...

so i have a can crusher/cupholder. messy.

 

About the only think an EK cupholder is good for is canned drinks. McDonald's cups, 20oz bottles, etc will all tip over, ESPECIALLY if they are full, no matter how slow you go around corners. I've gotten in the habit of putting my fingers on top of the drinks while cornering. It's like second nature now. Why the hell couldn't Honda have made the drink holders just a couple of inches deeper? Fragernacle bullsh*t!

 

I have an EJ8 and my cup holders work awesome. They hold anything from cans mugs and 24oz. Mountain Dew bottles. I don't have any problems with things falling over in them. Plus it has a sweet little spring loaded lid.
