Default Updating AEM ems software

I have a quick question and its a broad one. When upgrading the software on an AEM gen 1 box is it necessary to make major changes to the calibration files. The reason I ask is that I purchased a new box from aem to replace an older damaged box and loaded the calibration and now the car idles at 3000 and none of the settings on the cal were changed. The only difference in the car itself is that the intake manifold was changed from a S2 to Victor x which I know will change things a bit but the idle seems way off.I am thinking that its probably a vacuum leak and doesnt have anything to do with the calibration.

Are you going from one firmware to another. What box did you have and what box do you have now? Did you use the calibration conversion to update the cal to a new file?

There are notes of what changed between the versions make sure to check that out. You may even be able to load in the old firmware and load your old cal into the box and see if that helps out.
