im planning on getting a s2k soon and...
im aiming for a black 2002 s2k with red seats (love the seats on those models
and i was wondering about what could i do to it to make it sound really good?
from what i know already im going to add a short ram intake, replace headers, and get a new exhaust system
i dont wanna add turbo because i dotn want the side affects of it (engine mess up from turbo)
do any of you have any ideas of what else i can add to it to make it faster or sound better?

you're pretty on to it with the mods you've mentioned - anything else, and you might as well chuck a supercharger at it.
The exhaust will come down to personal preference of sounds vs gains vs lightweight etc.
I wanted mine to sound good also, so went for the HKS exhaust as it came highly recommended for sound. Performance-wise it is far from the best, but there's not many gains to be had on these cars anyway (NA), so sound isn't the most stupid thing to base these kinda mods on.

if done correctly, neither should mess up the engine too much, but Superchargers are generally regarded (depending on the quality of the kit you use) as being a more 'conservative' power increase. There is a forced induction section to this site - if that's your long term goal, then hold off on the mods until you know what you are planning
oh yea i was looking up a review of the s2k and im kinda confused.
ok in 2004 they upgraded the engine from 2.0l to 2.2...k but...
i heard also that the versions that werent the cr didnt have ar conditioning or radio...
ive never in my life owned a s2k so does the 2002 model have a/c and radio?
and also can i buy a hardtop for a 2002 s2k from a shop?
i would just go and get a 2008 cr model with hardtop but theres a reason i wanna get a 02 model (this might sound really stupid) but i want those seats! love the black s2k with red seats

You can buy hardtops sometimes used.... I would reccomend on at least getting the year they started putting the glass rear windows in the converts because I had a 01 and it is plastic and you cant tint it and it sucks
It takes time and effort but you need to do the research. Everyone will give you a different opinion on what "sounds good" or doesn't. You can youtube virtually any exhaust to check out the note.
i am wanting to spend under 20k$ on this car
i want something that is fun to drive and is kinda quick
i was thinkin of a s2k, (mabey 2001 prelude), 1994 nsx, or mabey even a 350z
i heard that a s2k isnt really that fun to drive as a daily
i just want something that is fun and worth the money...any suggestions?

Turbos don't mess up the car anymore than a supercharger can. FI is FI, you do something wrong in either one or go cheap on either one you run the same risk of breaking something.
Oh and your picture that you are using for an avatar is a supercharged S
Honestly OP, it sounds like you don't know what in the hell you want. You're undecided on everything from a prelude to an nsx? Comon get real.
I'm on my second S2000 right now, I used to have an '02. Believe me, AP1s can bite you in the *** quick if you don't have a lot of experience with RWD. The last thing you should be concerning yourself with is FI & mods on a car you're not even sure you want.

ahh yea i do have a problem of starting alot of the same sounding threads. but the reason i did this was because when i made the "deciding what to get on s2k" i looked at other threads, i saw a thread called like 'prelude or s2000' i looked at it and people were saying the s2k was uncomfortable and is to small. but i looke da lil deeper and it seems like the right car for me
Well considering the OP just created a poll looking at a RSX-S and Civic SI I don't think he/she will be purchasing an S2000 anytime soon.
OP is giving me the impression he is a 17 year old day dreaming.
*edit* I'm sure insurance, maintenance costs, taxes, gas prices, etc have not even crossed his mind

The cars you've listed:
- 06 RSX-S
- 06 Civic SI
- 94 NSX
- 00-03 S2000
- ?? 350Z
- 01 Prelude
That list is literally ALL over the place. You need to decided exactly what you want before you do anything and price everything out, which you haven't.
*edit* You have 11 posts and 10 of them talk about buying a different car

Well since it is the S that you want, I agree with the above more hp without FI is not easy to come by nor is it cheap. A 300hp all motor setup is very possible but by the time you get it you would have spent more than a FI setup. But you say you don't want to do a turbo because you think it messes up the engine. If you do it right and don't cut corners a turbo is very realiable. Supercharging is no different you go cheap and cut corners then you run the same risk of damage.
If you are totally deadset against FI for fear of damage to the motor, then get ready to spend a lot of money to get it to go fast in NA form. Or get the S and live with the fact that it is not a fast straight line car, it is a fast autocross car. Many people who have S are more than happy to drive them stock which might not mean great acceleration from light to light but awesome speed from the turn in to the turn out. Good luck

If your looking for parking lot cool points the s2000 wins
If your looking for sexiness the s2000 wins
If your looking for performance that's a toss up between the s2k/nsx
but how we're ranging from 7K cars to upwards of 20K cars is a little mind bending. Go to a dealership, hop in, turn the key and see for yourself. If your as young as your decision making process seems to indicate, you might want to either a) go with ur parents or b) look like you have money. Otherwise their going to turn u around as a tire kicker with some of those cars.
