Is there a good way to remove the plastic bulb mount from the back of the headlight?
Ive got a set from an 86 4 wagon, and want to fix the ones on my 87 hatch.

looks like to me there is a teeny tiny set screw holding the outer ring to the inner ring.problem is i dont have an allen wrench that small.
If i could back that out, it shouls spin free.

 

FYI, I was right. Once i found an allen wrench small enough to remove the set screw, it twisted apart. Now the only thing to do is bake the headlight in the oven to remove the glass and get to the inner ring.

 

baked at 350* for 15-18 minutes.
pryed ever so slowly until it finally broke loose.
That Hondabond is some mean sh*t.
cleaned out the interior real good, then exchanged the inner bulb mount and the outer lock ring. Good as freakin new and only cost 7 bucks.
