Default radiator issue.

i have a 95 del sol that i recently just put in a mishimoto rad. after i swapped it in i started it let it warm up so on and so forth. the bottom hose was hot before i left drove it around the country block...like 3 miles. while i was driving the temp gauge would go from around the middle to about a quarter of the way down then back up and stayed there. it didn't sound or drive funny. smell funny or anything. when i got home i popped the hood and the bottom hose was cold. it worked fine before this too i did the same thing right before changing it and it was still warm.

so the question is that normal that its colder now or should it still be just as hot as when i left?

no codes either.
