Is it possible to have a 10K redline and still have be able to drive on the street... If this is possible then how high of a redline can one have on the street.

Yes its possible..... i've seen a video of a guy reving his itr to 11,000rpm

I would believe its possible to be "street-able".
Just shift at 3-4rpm

Iggy, don't worry about 10k redlines right now. You won't ever need to rev to 10k on stock cams...and you don't need to upgrade your cams until after you upgrade your driving. Experience will get you much, much further than expensive mods.

 

I was not going to do this Bob. I was just curious about the idea. I have seen bikes with like 14K red lines and was wondering if that is possible on our R's. But, I totally agree, driving school is first!

i was revving at 10k for a lil while..but i brought it back down to 9500 since im not really making power after 9k

My car was revved to 10,000 and some change when it was mis-shifted from 3rd into 2nd at 8400 RPMs.
