I just did an obd1 Ls swap in my EG and the D series throttle cable has the bracket to close to the end of the cable so it won't mount where it should on the B series manifold. My question here is can I use a cable and bracket for a 99-00 Si also would I only need the throttle cable and bracket for the manifold only or do I also need the one for the gas pedal also.

 

You should be able to use any B series throttle cable except some GSR years. I ran into some of them being alittle long when I did my LS swap. The b16 cable will work.

 

Alright thanks what about the brackets and all just the one for the manifold correct or do I need the one for the pedal also and the gasket that goes through the firewall?

 

Hmm if I remember correctly the pedal bracket should be the same or very close to it. It can be jimmy rigged or you can just go to pull a part at a junk yard and find one to be safe. The throttle is the same pretty much I just threw the cable on never even thought to change it. The gasket in the firewall is good to have but not absolute. I don't have a gasket in my fire wall for the cable. I ran mine through some plastic tubing. SO I dunno exactly if it has an affect on the life of the cable or anyhting.

 

the parts are cheap enough from the dealer, this situation doesn't warrant a rig job. You can probably gets the parts to do it right from the dealer for about $35, you will be happier in the long run and it will look cleaner

Just buy a new 94+ LS throttle cable, I got mine from a dealer for under $20. It fits perfect on the pedal and mounts exactly where you need it to when using the OEM LS bracket on the Intake manifold.

 

I ordered a B16 cable,brackets and gasket from Honda since it was closer and since Acura said it would take longer to get then Honda i'm picking up the parts tomorrow I hope it works out I'll post pics of before and after thanks for the help.

 

you can use the stock d-series throttle cable

 

It didn't work the bracket isn't in the right place its too close to the end of the cable so it's to far from the mounting point on the manifold

 

you will need to re-fab the position of the bracket. i have a picture of mine, its a crappy pic though.
