Default dynoed my hybrid eg coupe yesterday

hey all,

dynoed my eg coupe yesterday. it's a '99 b18c1 with AEM intake, R*SR header, carsound 2.5" cat, thermal cat-back and a chipped OBDII ecu, stock internals.

it peaked at 156.5hp and 117.8 tq.

what do you guys think? I don't have a scanner so i can't post my plot but if you have any specific questions about the powerband or the a/f ratio please ask. I have the a/f ratio printed out for each 100 rpm.

95 B18C1 on my 92 Hatch.

155.3hp and 118TQ
with 45$ intake, greddy exhaust (for coupe adapted to fit Hatch), stock exhaust manifold, stock ecu.

Added.....
skunk2 stage1 cams, DC 4-1 headers,Skunk2 Cam gears +1 intake +1 exhaust, ign timing @ 18 degrees. Fuel pres @ 55 psi.
184.7hp and 132TQ

I know this has nothing to do with HPs but I like the intake growl better when my cams were stock. With the skunk 2 cams, the engine intake growl sounds unrefined.... like the engine is going to blow up. But it never did anything wrong except for the sound. Still running strong up to now.

WOW!! Nice numbers! The skunk2 stage 1 cams are gonna be my next mod. I was curious as to the increase they would give me. That's probably a similiar set-up I would have. I was wondering if I should go with a 4-1 header? Still not sure about that. I'm really impressed with the gains you got though! Now I really can't wait to get them. You used a VAFC to tune the a/f and the vtec crossover, right? What is your crossover?

Blue-civic-hybrid, nice numbers too! Looks like I could wring out a few more horsies with some cam gears and a VAFC. Good job!

Thanks for posting your set-ups and numbers. Anybody else??

Nope, Still stock ECU. There is a big dip in when the vtec kicks in. Feels like the motor is going to bog. But when it reaches 5,500 Rpm, front tires are really fighting for traction.
The skunk2 cam vtec lobe is huge that it dwarfs the GSR vtec lobe.
BTW, on the second run, the cat was replaced with a testpipe.

The guy who helped me tune the car said that the cams have the biggest effect because it directly affects the engine breathing. But in order to get good gains, you have to improve air flow everywhere else as well.

i didn't chip it. They can be chipped similiar to a OBD1 ECU but many people don't do it because the chips alone (for OBD2) are like $100 whereas the OBD1 chips are like $5. So if one goes on you it can get quite expensive. It was chipped by yoshio of Japanese-Automotive i believe. Why the car was converted over to OBD2, I don't know. It seems stupid to me but he must have had some reason.
