Default ek climate control?

I have a 2000 Ek hatch. For some reason when i try to turn on the cold/hot air, it wont blow out air unless I turn the **** all the way to high. Other than that, it wont turn on. I tried switching the climate control **** and buttons and still does the same. Has anyone had this problem? What can I do to fix this?

99-00 is all electronic controlled. sounds like the controlling arm on the valve is either not attached or has too much slack. have someone inside your car turn it hot then cold then hot and you will see this arm behind the throttle boddy on the firewall move make sure its on the latch.

I'm not having problem with the temp. of the air. I'm having problem with controlling the speed of the air. I hate having to blast the air all the time when i wanna turn on the air. I should have made it clear that it was the speed of the air i wanted to fix.

Yes, your problem is an easy fix....it's the heater transistor. Common issue when cars get older

Isn't that a blower motor resistor, rather than transistor? Either way, that is your problem.
