In 2003 I purchased a red 96' ek hatch at a used car dealer for $4500.00 cash

Car was in mint condition no accidents just some dings on driver door and quarter panel, about 84k miles. It was a 5spd CX.



Well Ive been hunting around for another as I have developed the itch once more and well I have seen most of these 12-14 year old hatches go for $3500-$5000 !!! WTG?


Sure Hondas can hold on to their price that seems inflated. I can imagine that some dealers know that a 5spd EK is rare these days and people will pay top dollar but thats ridiculous.

I can get an S2k for like $9000

are you talking about ONLY used car lots? I feel you when it comes to Civics being so pricey, just go to KBB.com and see what the car should be actually worth.

If your talking about private parties, well just look at the Honda scene, everyone thinks that their Honda is the best thing on the road. You are going to pay a lot of you attempt to buy from a user on this site, thats for sure.

Just take your time, you said you could get an s2k for 9k...**** do it then if you have that money to blow.
