just upgraded my header from a 2 inch to a 2.5 inch collector. i have ordered 2 test pipes claiming to be 2.5 in and out yet the collector flange is two small. can anyone point me in the right direction of a high quality cat/test pipe for my car i am tired of fighting to get my money. so if anyone can throw up a website or what exactly i need to search for on here without getting ads for header would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

you probably got the 2'' test pipe.
i ordered my 2.5'' test pipe from ebay.
i think i paid $90

 

i hope you didnt order the obx one that looks like a cat bc thats what i ordered and it was wrong turns out obx describes 2.5 in and out yet the inlet is a 2.25 so watch out on that one i just ordered a blackworks jdm flange 2.5 so we will see how that goes for now.

 

just curious how this went? im looking into ordering the blackworks 2.5" adjustable (2.5" header, to a 2.25" catback) ive heard good things but just wondering if the ins and outs were as described

no, it was a jdm 3 piece test pipe. i bought it back in 06 i believe

 

It's a pipe and two flanges. If you have issues, buy the flanges and bring it to an exhaust shop.

 

exactly. hell i had mine made at the exhaust shop. cost me 40 because i had the piping and flanges. just needed them to flare, and weld in an o2 bung.
