Default B16A Loss of Power. Help

Hi

I've got a B16A2 Del Sol, and the car is too slow, really, it takes way more time from idle to the vtec than every other del sol of my friends.
I recently discovered that in neutral if i hit the pedal to rev it to the redline instead of hitting the rev limiter with the needle jumping at the limiter like it was supposed to, it just doesnt even reaches it.
With the pedal to the ground it revs up to 7krpm +/- and looses power to 6krpm then goes to 7k again and looses power again, this without lifting my foot.

Tried to switch the ecu and distributer from another b16a2 of a friend and nothing changes.

thats no trans prblem... check ur ignition timing and maybe its time for a full tune up. looks like its breaking up when it needs more spark at higher rpms.. id start with this and go from there..

After checking your timing, replace your air and/or fuel filters if you haven't before and if that doesn't work, check your fuel pressure with and without the regulator vacuum hose attached. While it could be the timing, this problem is very symptomatic of a restriction in either the air or fuel system. I'm assuming you have no CEL.

Not a trans problem per se, If it was an LS tranny the B16A would just be super *** slow. Definitely not your problem if you're revving in Neutral. Sounds like ignition timing.
