Default Buddy Club Cams Spec III or IV ???

Okay, I can't decide what cams to get. I want to go with whatever will get me close to 200whp. Everyone says spec III's and some people say spec IV's. This setup will be my daily driven set up, and weekend circuit car. Please help me decide. Here's my setup, I'm using a lot of my turbo parts to save money since this is a budget build.

Block:
b16a2
CP 12:1 pistons (.25 over)
Eagle H-Beam Rods
GE Block Guard

Head:
Supertech Valveprings
Supertech Ti Retainers
Supertech Valves
Skunk 2 Cam Gears
Skunk 2 Intake Manifold
Yowai CF Intake
Type R TB
Logicmotorsports.com Header (SMSP Replica)
3" kteller exhaust

Tuning:
RC 440s
Hondata s300

Thanks for your input!

The tranny can help to understand your right engine combo. If you have a 4.92 final drive you will always be in the upper rev range of the powerband.

Hmm, didn't really come across my mind. I'm so used to turbo powers. But anyway, what's your take with my setup?

bc spec IV
skunk2 stage 2
blox type b
jun 3
endyn bumpstix

all of these profile should do well in your b16a engine. They have almost the same vtec lobe so.

I wonder if anyone can post a dyno comparison between the two on a b16. I have my spec 3's on order and I'm thinking of sending them back to get the spec 4's. Just a hassle waiting for parts to come through. Thanks for your input, anyone else?

how's that compared to the IV's? by looking at the poll, three people only voted and the spec III's so far are in the lead.

go 4's. you have the valve train to support it and the compression.

Do the spec 4's compromise reliability? How's the idle on those cams?

For your goals, I would pick the IV's. I've been using the III's for a few years now in my b16 with similar mods. They're great street cams. The 4's have the same or similar non-vtec lobes so they should idle fine.

use the 4's or 5's... or a happy dyno. and with cp's unless they are custom u wont make 12:1 comp... that's with everything in stock form ofc.

its in the 10's and ofc = of course

u can still use any of those cams... diferent cams are for diferent rpm ranges... ports, intake manifold and header play a big part in this overall too. You can choke a high rpm capable engine with the wrong intake man and header and it will make neither the rpms intended nor the hp and the other way around would work against you too.

i would go with spec 4's or 5's.... but im a high rpm guy that likes whp up top... and lots of it.

Ok, but why would it still be in the 10s, please explain. Maybe there's something I'm missing. Do I need to go higher?

just get a Skunk2 Cam
Pro1 or tuner series stage 2. you have other S2 Parts, namely the manifold, which is made to mimic the itr manifold but works in cunjuction with the profiles of the cams they produce, for power reliablity and efficiency
