Yup I needed new tires when I had exact same problem. My tires wore really weird, completely bald on 3/4ths then I would have 1/8th inch of tread on rest. Oval shaped tires FTL! Don't know how or why they did it, but new tires made my crx feel like a new car. No shake makes it much more enjoyable.
brayzie's shakes may not be the same as yours....
i had a slight vibration at 60mph too. not a horrible, just slight enough. honestly, it just went away after a month or two... i have a feeling it was my axle that has a torn CV boot. its the only thing wrong with my car at least. i havent even replaced it. but i had been thru a new set of front tires in between so i know it wasnt the tires either. and after a few thousand miles, its gone. shrug.
brazie had all these issues and damaged his tires in the process. he needs new tires.

I recently adjusted my steering rack, (93 Civic Cx hatch with manual rack) and I can say it seems a little better. This is after I recently replaced both inner tie rods, got new tires, four wheel alignment and installed a new rack end bushing last month. The steering feels a bit stiffer., however the steering wheel still has some shudder in it on the interstate, 65mph + ...but it's gone away at lower street speeds. You can definitely tell when the adjustment screw is bottomed out…it’s nearly impossible to turn the steering wheel. I backed the screw out to spec so it’s as adjusted as much as it’s gonna get. I've also rotated my rear wheels/tires to the front but shake is still there. Next on my list...I'm gonna double check that all the ball joint nuts are tight as can be, (pretty sure they are). I'm also gonna inspect lca bushings. I'm starting to wonder if it could be that my outer tie rods end ball joints could be the culprit.
