d16y8 problems, can you guys help me out
Hey i just went out and compression tested my y8,
cyl #1-4 were all 210 psi, with 15A fuse pulled and throttle rite down. im pretty sure thats the proper way to do it, and the motor only has 134,000 km (orig. chassis)
the problem is that there is kinda like a puffing air sound coming from the motor, but when i start it, it is very hard to start (abit easier when its cold) and when i push the gas, even the slightest bit, it shuts off most of the time (if im verryyyyy easy pushing the gas, then it goes up the rpm, but bogs alot).
i've tried everything, dizzie, new plugs, new plug wires, new iacv, i really dont know what else to do or how much further to diagnose it, and i dont have alot of money. if i pull the head off the block, would i have a better chance of diagnosing the problem, maybe i can see something or burnt valves, or should i leave the head on to diagnose it
