Working on it lol. I wont be doing anything if I cant get this mount issue resolved. Using a hydro trans the mechanical linkage is not strong enough. So I'm going to use the cable to hydraulic reservoir bracket setup. The issue is nobody make the conversion setup with out the mechanical linkage for the clutch.

Well I just noticed that my stupid *** welded up the hole for the throttle linkage. It seems like this whole project goes to 1 step fwd and 2 steps backwards.

Fixed the hole I welded up today. But like everything else something else happens.

Discovered this today....

Anybody know what would cause this? Its on all the exhaust lobes, and one knick on a few of the intake lobes. A guy at auto zone suggested detonation. It did burn 2 intake valves

Pitting like that on the cam lobes is not caused by detonation. That pitting is likely due either to poor materials used or poor finishing by the camshaft manufacturer. Honda had a similar problem with K20A3 intake and K24A1/K24A4 exhaust cam lobes pitting. Some speculate that it's an oiling issue due to the lower film/shear strength of the 5W-20 oil specified for those engines, but based on the wear patterns that I've seen, I don't buy it.

The place where I dropped my head off said it could have been an oil issue or material issue. Thanks for the info.
