I was told by a buddy that my tps could be going bad or is bad because my car is getting completely shitty gas mileage and the idle is constantly changing. Sometimes its hard to shift gears so anyway I can check this or could it be something else? I have a 92 Civic Hatchback CX.

 

it might be the idle control valve that makes it idle messed up sometimes too
