springs vs coilovers
I asked myself two questions:
How much are you acctually going to adjust the height of your car?
My answer was never and that is why I went with the Eibach Sportline spring.
How important is ride quality?
From what I was told the spring rates in coilovers are higher then in a set of
springs. Meaning that you will get a rougher ride. Again that is why I choose
the Eibach Springs.

Coilover sleeves like the Ground Controls allow you to specify the spring rates, so there is no truth to the idea that coilover suspension have to be stiffer. Hell, you can put cut OEM springs on them of you want. Personally, I would stick with the Eibachs they come with.
As for height adjustment, that's not really the point of a coilover setup. The point is proper corner balancing, which is done through height adjustment but ride height changes are more of a side effect.
As with anything else, you have to balance your budget against the features you really need. Racing? Get coilovers. Just lowering for looks? Coilovers aren't worth the extra money.
