i have searched this here, googled it, searched the seibon site, the vis site and about a half dozen other manufacturers sites and nobody lists the weight of carbon fibre trunks. maybe because its bad bang for the buck. specifically looking for weight of cf 93-95 coupe trunk lid.

i just weighed my stocker, with oe spoiler tail lights and wiring its 32 lbs. wondering what the aftermarket cf versions weigh!

 

rough guess 10-20lbs. my problem with cf parts is they sometimes don't seal like OEM.

 

To be honest it depends. There are some that are heavier then the stock trunks. TRUE carbon fiber would be 10-20lbs but it's going to be expensive lol.

If I was getting a carbon fiber trunk, i'd just get a used one that's scratched up. Clean it up and paint it.

 

yeah carbon fiber parts can def sometimes be heavier than OEM parts. they probably used the OEM framing too and covered it with carbon fiber. i cant ****ing stand when companies make carbon fiber side skirts that go over the OEM ones...wtf thats not making it lighter

 

You are going to deffinatly be half the weight that you are at right now with your stock trunk
