so i got a del sol with a h22.

im planning to get a header and a cat..

(running stock exhaust manifold and 2.5 full piping to a wicked flow exhaust, loud ricey and smells like ****)


so i wanted to put a 2.5 in hi flow cat on it. i was also planning to get a header too..

i had a question.. if the outlet for the header is 2.0 and the cat im going to buy is 2.5 will that be a problem? do the make h22 headers that have a 2.5outlet?

Most *good* performance headers for the H22 will have a 2.5" collector. If not, you can have the header modified to have a 2.5" collector. Or you can run a transition pipe (megaphone) from a 2" collector to the 2.5" cat.

 

Any good exhaust shop can make it work no problem.

 

there are plenty of good replica header on this site for about 350-400 shipped and they are all 2.5 in collectors. get the extension pipe with it and mate it with a 2.5inch high flow cat. get a welder to weld a flange on a short 2.5 inch pipe and mate it to other end of the cat. bolt that onto any exhaust pipe of your choosing and you can have a bolt on and off cat just in case it ever goes bad.
