Im doing the complete JDM front end conversion on my 1990 Si Hatch. And I want to keep the groove in the center of the JDM front bumper molding going through out the whole car. But the side moldings on my 1990 are the smaller non-groove moldings. I have already mounted a 1988 rear bumper on the 1990 that has the groove in the center of the molding. But it just looks a little retarded with the non-groove 1990 moldings.

So I was wondering if the 88-89 side moldings will fit on the 1990?

I never had 90-91 side moldings and 88-89 side moldings side by side to compare them to each other. I searched H-T and all over the web but to no avail so any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

 

go to a junkyard and test fit them

Most people prefer the 90-91 thinner, cleaner looking design Also, keep in mind the bumpers are made to match the design of the generation you have, so that will look a bit off.

Same goes for crx models
