Hi, my wife has a 2003 Acura RSX Base and out of nowhere, the Driver's side actuator stopped working and when I use my remote, none of the doors lock or unlock. From the inside, when I lock or unlock the doors, only the trunk and and passenger's side door respond, but the driver's side door is not working. It's as if the actuator on the driver's side door is dead now. I can only lock/unlock the driver's side door by using the key.

Is this a common problem? Also, my remote blinks red when I use it. Any help would be much appreciated, thank you.

 

yea.. mine does the same thing. If I physically use my key to lock the driver side door.. i can use the button to lock the rest, and arm the alarm

 

very common problem....just gotta get it fixed....

buy an new acuator and have someone or yourself install it....

 

My drivers side died last summer.....pia to replace....you have to pull the door card, the vaper seal then loosen the door latch and swing the whole mess over so you can get to it and remove and replace he accuatior then put all the stuff back togather again........

 

Damn, I'm definitely crossing my fingers lol. I hope I never have to deal with it :S

 

its a common problem on the EP3s and RSXs... good news is that the actuators are cheaper then on the older models civics/integras... I got mine for 80$ CND each compared to 140$ CND each for my EG!
