TL OEM 17 wheels handling
Current TL Base runs on 245/50/17. The profile height is 122.5mm. That is rather high for a performance sedan.
To offer a comparison, the Toyota Corolla runs on 205/55/16 = 112.75mm profile. My Accord runs on 225/50/17 = 112.5. I know how that handles.
Once we get the the higher line 18s and 19s, the profile lowers to 110mm or less.
Is there tire flex in TL's performance with 17" wheels? Does it ride soft?

no one wants their car car to feel like it is rolling on rocks. the TL is a luxury car first. and my CL type S rides on the same rubber hand handles extremely well like a train on rails while keeping a nice ride. It goes exactly where I point it. I can take 50mph corners at 100mph+ if I wanted to. There is one turn on I94 going that is a 40mph yellow signI have gone through at 100+ before and the car does not lean at all. (yeah it was night time and stupid).
lower profile tires = more chance of bending **** when you smack potholes....
