Is this Normal. Fuel Gauge Question

08' Civic Sedan EX

My friend loan me his car for a week, he's going out of town.

Anyway, I always get the light on when there is almost empty fuel at 2 bars! is this normal?

My fuel gauge acts identical. I have an 08 Civic Coupe.

that is normal. i've driven with 0 bars on my gauge and when i filled up, i put in 12.2 gallons.

You're fine.

It's better to have the low fuel light on with more fuel versus it coming on and you only have enough to move a quarter mile. Nawmean?
