I will agree that it does look cool. doesn't seem too time consuming either. Nice little weekender there.

There's nothing like messing up the wiring on a perfectly good car for the next owner to figure out how to fix.

this.

o/p, i'm not sure what you are trying to emulate, but there's a reason why the amber turn signals in the rear ONLY light up when you are making a lane change. i wouldn't be suprised if a cop gave you a fix it ticket for your turn signals always being on.

It's spelled "whine."

It's a public forum, if you don't like it when people disagree with stupid ideas, gtfo.

Leave the signal lights and other **** pertaining to safety alone. Do us all that solid.

Dont see anything wrong with this idea. If you do get it done take some pics. I was thinking of doing this but with the front bumper lights. Would like em to turn on when my corners are on. Besides how would a cop know that your turn signals arent supposed to be on??? As long as they blink everything should be fine.....just guessing though.

It is perfectly legal as long as the still blink when you are turning, I did it to my CR-X front bumper lights and it looked awsome. To do it to the tail turn signals you could do the same thing I did. Get the turn signal plugs and bulbs from a 92 civic. That way you can wire it correctly with the dimmer light being on when you parking lights are on and the brighter side illuminating when you turn. You will just have to run one of the wires on the new sockets to the tail light power wire. But if you do it I would solder and heat shrink the wires along with electrical tape so nothing grounds out or comes loose. If you need help doing this PM me and I will draw you a diagram of how I did it.

You're right, all those blinker related fatalities aren't anything to joke about. Its more dangerous for a person to blink while driving than to rewire his blinkers. Think about it, all that time could be dedicated to staring at other peoples stock lights.

i still don't think it is a good or safe idea for the rear lights. the fronts are ok, because cars come with bumper lights that are on solid and then blink as well. plus there are other lights on the front of the car that are there just to blink with the signals. i suppose i could see it being ok if the turn signal part was red, so that it looked like it was supposed to be one (see all vehicles with tail lights that use the same bulb for the rear running lights, brake lights AND turn signal lights such as most chevy's and fords and lots of other newer and older vehicles)

You're missing the point here man. The point is someone thinking outside the box, outside the "JDM" mentality we are all accustomed too. Because your "projekt90ef" isn't an EF its an ED. If you cant see a light blinking for a lane change, you shouldnt be on the road.

damn..circa 1987.

we used to call these "ambers". basically you changed the single filament bulb holder to a dual and run the parking lights to the "dimmer" filament while the original wire was connected to the "brighter" filament so it would still work as a turn signal. wire an in-line switch to turn it off when the cops were around..

I used it when cruising/show off and signal other racers/ricers that we wanted to race...yea, was young and stupid then.

front is easy. you get the turn signal plugs from an eg (which uses a dual filament bulb) and just run a power wire from the corner marker that is just a running light for the dimmer filament
