Im getting ready to get my Ej1 painted, Im gonna go with white, if it were you guys would you paint everything "side skirts, lip etc" or just leave the lips and moldings all black?? What do you guys think would look best. I know its my car but i want to hear some differnt thoughts.. Hit me up..

I would do everything white personally. Might as well, you are going to be painting it already

 

Yeah thats what im thinking, im gonna go with white everything except the lip, and side skirts..Did some searching on google and they look real stupid with those molfings in black..looks cleaner with the white moldings..IMO

 

ya i agree, i like the moldings in white. i wonder how it would look with everything white except the black front lip. cus im sure that will get scratched up real quick.

 

Taffeta white is my favorite white. Paint EVERYTHING.

 

PERSONALLY, i like stock black molding. i did that to my old blue eg6. looks good, but for you to judge. will post up a pic for you in bit...

 

leave the stock lip, skirts and the line on the bottom of the rear bumper unpainted

 

yeah, and those too, including side skirt, mud flaps, door garnishs, L/R mirrors, tail hatch, roof molding, and so on.

 

why? to make the car look cheaper?

 

It gives a nicer OEM look for EG/EJ. but like I said, "...I WOULD PERSONALLY DO THAT..."

 

I think the moldings look good black. But nothing else really. Maybe the mirrors.

 

I work at a Body shop, and let me tell you it will stand out much more with clean black molding and white paint. if the moldings have faded re paint them black. with everything white it looks to plain trust me.

only thing that might look OK to paint is the mirrors.

 

paint the moldings but leave the lip and skirts black. Ithink it looks real clean that way but its the matter of opinion lol

just steal the paint scheme from the CTR......not a bad look.

 

Its up to you, but if I were you I would probably get everything painted white, unless you plan on sporting black rims(that would compliment the black accents such as molding lips skirts etc).

 

It is your decision, personally, I'd personally do what K7-1Ktrevor and I would do....

But its YOUR Ej. If you don't like it, you can always redo what you don't like.

Yeah im painting everything except the front lip and im goin for an all with car. I have some Evo Regas to put on so I have white rims and a white car.
I just think that the lip would eventully chip and the side skirts would chip to wouldnt they?? Im going for clean here..Any one ever paint there side skirts did they chip easy??

Gotta paint the front lip, that is the most important thing to paint imo. Do it right and it won't chip.
