So confused. A1 trans on GSR? what clutch?
i have a 90 crx with a swapped b16a, head stamped 91. when i purchased i was told it had a J1 trans, but the gold sticker on the trans says A1 then a bunch of numbers. i am now going to be swapping in a GSR and use my ??A1? tranny. i have to try to stay out of Vtec on the highway because it revs so high, and i read A1 is an LS tranny so i have no idea whats going on. would all the clutches be the same or is there any way for me to find what clutch i would need to put this on my GSR?
I believe you use a 90-91 integra clutch. The A1 should have the smaller input shaft. You always buy the clutch for the trans you're using
thanks but thats the prob. i was told it was a j1, and its short geared especially above 70 it revs really high. but the tranny sticker says A1 so would the j1 and a1 use the same clutch just incase. i dont want to spend 400 on a clutch and then have it not work.
You can swap any b series tranny onto a gsr....from what i know, as others have said, J1 and A1 and pretty much the same thing. Any yes, should be a 90-91 B18A Integra clutch for that.
