I was at a gas station pumping gas and waiting for it to fill up when a man and his 2000 Chevy Blazer just backs up into my car without even seeing it. Me and my friend both brought our cars into the Chevron Gas station and were just talking. The thing that pissed me off was that before the accident, he walked up to me and my friend and told us that he needed to back out, so my friend had to move his car out of the way. Long story short, the guy is an idiot. Anyways.

How much money will it cost to repair this? Just give me an estimate. Thanks

 

WTH. Why should you have to pay? He hit you right? Make his insurance pay for it. You didn't let him get away, did you?

Ooops sorry.. No he didn't get away, I already called my insurer and his insurer. However, they want me to bring it to a shop and get a quote. I also had to sign this DMV paper thingy which asks me if the damage is over $750 or less.. So before I go get a quote I just want to know what you guys think. Sorry for the screw up

 

Oh ok good. I was hoping he didn't get away. No idea what it would cost though so I am no help there, sorry. I'm not a body work guy. Very nice looking paint job on the car BTW.

I will tell you from experience that when the shop finds out that insurance is paying for it, the cost will skyrocket! I got in a fender bender a few years back in my old coupe. Dented front fender and a broken turn signal light was the damage. They quoted $1100 to fix that.

 

lol yeah I wet sanded it myself 6 years ago. But thats why Im kinda ****. Im pretty sure a shop will not get it to look or match the same paint as mines. I might as well repaint the whole car over..

Yeah. Needless to say, the insurance company sent me the check and I fixed the car myself.

u should get a good amount of munny. i got hit by some lady a couple months ago in a parking lot while my car was parked and it was just some little scratches nothing noticeable, like you would really need to get up close to see them and i got $480 from her insurance plus a new $200 car seat for my daughter since we were both in the car. i was mad as hell at first but when the checks came in boy was i happy.

wow hopefully I can get the check too. But recently I found out that his insurer Triple A wants me to bring it to a shop, get a quote there and then they will have an adjuster go down and see the price as well as inspect the damage. Then they will give the shop the check directly. I guess they know some people just take the check and don't repair the damages.

 

when i got rear ended it my bumper needed to be sanded and painted, it was a 1000,
so the damage could very well be over 750, but i doubt it. take it to the best shop.

 

yeah thats what Im thinkin... Hopefully I get a grand or two for it because of the emotional pain and suffering from it

 

My sister backed into my car and just bent up my hood, didn't do anything to any of the rest of the car. I got $1,412.82 for that. But that was supposed to cover painting the car and all. And the guy that qouted my car had thought that the core support got messed up but it didn't .

 

That doesn't look too bad. There is paintless dent repair now. They very, very carefully tap the dent out using a plastic dowel and a small hammer. It takes some time, but not as much as normal dent repair, so I believe it's actually cheaper.

 

My friend has a late 90's Acura and was involved in a minor accident. The dent was a little bigger on driver side quarter panel. They totaled the car. We couldn't believe it.
