Default oil pan trouble

What’s up Honda-tech! New to the site just had a small problem; the drain plug bolt on the oil pan just keeps spinning. It will not tight or loosen, so I’m thinking I might just have to replace the pan. My question is which oil pan could I use for a 96 accord ex, also do I need to use the oil pick-up? I did a search but got different answers. If anyone could help it would be greatly appreciated.

Remove the oil pan, then take it in to a mechanic or engineer. Ask them to put in a Helicoil - rethread the hole by 1st englargening the hole, making a new thread in the enlarged hole, then winding in a spring looking thing (helicoil)
Your sump plug will then thread in like new.

if u can pry a screwdriver between the plug and pan with moderate force or use a pair of vise grips and pull on it while turning the plug. sometimes the very last threads on the plug strip so it wont back out

Perhaps they got their dates wrong with the 93 model

**Was thinking the same thing when I saw that**

The 10th Anniversary Edition sedan commemorated the 10th year of US Accord production. While the 25th Anniversary Edition commemorated 25 years of the Accord.
