so i changed my pass. side axle today b/c the cv joint was busted, the car still makes a clunking noise whenever i hold the wheel straight.. my transmission is pretty messed up so im thinking it has to do with the dif. or something, or maybe its my rack and pinion, i am lost and in dear need of help!!!!the clunking sounds kind of like i'm riding in a train, the car vibrates and its really pissing me off.

 

Half shaft? Does it only vibrate on acceleration?

 

it vibrates at any speed past 25, durring acel. it only gets worse.

 

i was thinking half shaft aswell.. im taking it into a mechanic tommorrow to get a better look at everything, hopefully its something stupid =p

 

so my mechanic put my car on a lift and we came to the conclusion that my inner tie rod bearings are bad so im changing them tommorrow, hopefully some good news!

 

so the new parts helped with the severity of the problem, but im still getting a softer clunking noise after 45 mph. and vibration when i slow down, i also got an alignment.. anyone?

im having the same problem, it shakes as soon as i start gaining speed and i really dont know wat it is
i swaped my axles and it got a lil better but it still vibrates
