Default Distributor ????

ok big questions i have had problem after problems with distributors i converted to obd1 running aem..
my problems are mainly this obd1 oem distributors are hard to come by and well lets face it there around 15 years old and you cant hardly find one in good shape to last..

my question is does anyone have good sites to get a newly rebuilt distributor from at oem spec thats going to last more then 2 months! ebay ones are junk that are 100 dollar range not sure about distributor king ones what do u guys use?

i have looked into a few im inerested with my #1 pick so far is

rywire's obd1 distributors

2 would be another worn out oem honda

3 ebay distributor king one

4 buy a brand new one from honda and shell out the 700.00 for it

does anyone know if HMO motors online sells distributors oem jdm ones? or any other jdm engine/parts retailers that do??

please help me out and im sure lots of others would like to know the same things WHATS WORKING FOR OTHERS and whats NOT! i know the china junk ebay ones last maybe a month then they are done!

im strongly thinking of going with the rywire one because hes well known and says to back there products and to back there distributors and if there is a problem they will solve the problem .... ALSO one more thing rywire offers 2 obd1 distributors one is a stock replacement internal coil and all and the other is a bumped up one thats supposed to handle external coils which would u guys recommend

I can vouche for the Rywire Distributor. I have one on my obd1 b16 and havent any issues yet and have had it on the car since ~July 09.

They stand by their products 100%.

I used the internal coil model as the external is really only needed is 500+ hp situations and it adds more clutter to my engine bay, but this is all in personal preference.

I used distributor king. Ran fine for 20 hours or so then developed a tach issue. The ignitor butt connector wasn't tight enough & with high rpm would vibrate & loose contact. I called them on it but they had no reported issues. Some internet searching revealed others with the same problem. Easy fix, but I shouldn't have had to deal with it had they been properly assembled. I'd buy again based on price.

The only thing I have heard about Distributor King's is that their wires are not factory color, so if at some point you end up having an issue with wiring, factory service manuals will be useless because of the color scheme. My distributor from Rywire has all factory colors, the tint maybe off a tiny bit, but other than that.

differnt things on different distributors have went out cam crank sensor went out on one then on another the ignition control module then i rebuilt 2 of them to make one it lasted for a little bit and it started this real funny thing of not going over a certain rpm. its not my wiring or anything its all solid and good.. just bought sum used and then bought ebay one that was junk and another one i fried not counting it but that was entirely my fault.. but the other ones were just old i mean u take a distributor that has 100,000 miles on and u buy one that sumone says has 65,000 which prolly has 165,00 on it there bound to go out
