Default Omni 1 piece coilovers wont go any lower

Hey h-t..

I have the omni street 1 piece coilovers on my 2000 si, but for some reason the front wont go any lower than this

What I tried was turning the lower ring to the right which brought it closer to the two upper rings.. and when It got to a certain height, the housing couldnt go up to reach the first ring (lower) Am i doing something wrong?

I know these coils can slam my car.. but I'm just not getting my desired result.

Any help or advice is much appreciated!!

Thanks

probably as low as they can go. I don't think they were ever meant to "slam" the car

would they really make it so that the rear can go lower than the front? That wouldn't make any sense.

Here's the thing....
adjust the height from the bottom perches. NOT the top.
Is your preload set? You may have to play with it a bit. Let me know if you're not understanding what I'm saying.

jus what jason said. did you mess with the preloader?? i wouldnt recommend messing with it. i never touch mine and i can slam mine to the ground. jus mess with preloader and the middle(bottom) ring.

Listen to this guy ^

Watch this video OP, preload is very important. The coilover is from skunk2 but its the same concept for all full coilovers.

your shock body is probably touching the bottom of the cup. if you want to go any lower you'll have to lose the preload.

that's exactly what it is. I'll try to mess with the preloader but the only other thing that can be adjusted is the spring itself.

What size and width wheel and tires? I was running these same coilovers with 16x7 205/45/16 and my perches weren't set that low but my fender rested about same as your set up. But that was on an EG 4dr but it could have went a lot lower.

The wheels are15x6.5 and tires are 195/50/15.. I know it must be able to go lower. But like I said before the shock body is touching the cup. I dont know what else to do.
