I've been searching and it seems you can still get these from the dealer unlike the older checkered mats. The reason I want to double check is because my ITR came with the checkered mats and are in very good shape but I'm thinking about selling them and just buying a BNIB set that came with the car. There are two different parts numbers one the same as a GSR so I am assuming that the other one is for the ITR?

To the best of my knowledge the dealerships ran out of them late last year. Sucks to because they only costs about $120. I see some clowns trying to sell used ones in the FS thread for $250. ROFL.

I still see the black 01s though.

can you buy the hook to go in the floor to put those in 98's?

 

I saw some on eBay BNIB for cheap.

 

I don't think those hooks are separate from the set. I could be wrong though.

I've picked up a lot of BNIB OEM parts from this dealer for CHEAP. They must have a bunch of these flap sets. I picked up 1, and a few others have too from them. The BuyItNow was only $25 prior to this foo bidding on it.

the black mats don't come with the hook, i think BNIB checkered ones did. I found a guy selling the hook and had to pay a grip for it stupid yes but i had looked for 2 years for one.

 

I got a black set that came with the hooks. Luck of the draw I suppose.

 

why didnt you just find a wrecked 98-01 GS integra. My old GS had the hook in it. Im assuming that the GSR had it too.

 

oh I did. Guess I had bad luck finding one. I paid 25 bucks for one which i say is 20 bucks over priced.

 

ouch i agree. not going to say i wouldnt buy one for 25 right about now. my 97R doesnt have the hook. it sucks having to pull the matt back.

Any parts that the ITR has in common with all other Integras ought to still be available. That includes the mud flaps.

 

lots of parts (mainly accessory) are being discontinued by acura for the integra, not just the type-r's either. i was asking my boss about this and his response was that american honda will begin to produce less and less parts (again, mainly accessory parts) for vehicles that are becoming older in the acura family. it won't be like you can't get a common replaceable part like a timing belt or spark plug, but just that in order for business to thrive inside of dealership parts departments, new vehicle accessories are what's making the money. lot's of good, OEM parts are still available online though, as posted above...

 

It's true that some parts will be discontinued. However, ones that are replaced (and purchased) fairly often will probably continue to be available - especially something that came as standard equipment and fits the hundreds of thousands of third-generation Integras sold for 1994-2001.

 

I have two of those floor mat hooks sitting in my garage my black itr floor mats are actually ripped because of the hook i guess bought the car like that.
