ive read that ther isnt clear coat on carbon fiber hoods and if there is there isnt much ,i find this hard to believe but my question is has anyone ever cleared one before and how did it come out

 

they have a resin coating kinda like boats, with their fiberglass bottoms. epoxy resin coating **** or whatever. i had my ViS hood delivered to my autobody shop to put on and align and asked them he hasked a second opinion from another body shop and they said no because these hoods come with that epoxy coating, and clear coat might damage it.

That might be un true, but the part abotu being coated already is true, just look at it! no real need for clear coat excpet extra protection.

 

i had my body shop wet sand the hood and then clear coat it. it looks a lot better.
