Default p1457 obd

Hey guys so i got this error code in my winter car that came up when i took myycar to the dealer for a cel. They said i needed a two way valve and a bypass valve. From the research i have done i cant narrow down exactl what valves it could be and they want 450 to drop the tank and do the work. I have a friend who is a mechanic and i just want to get the right part for him to make it as eas as possible cause hes doing it for free. My car is a 2000 civic dx auto

check out this thread. it's got some good info and a link to another thread with more info.

seeing as you're new to the site and this is your first post, a suggestion: try using the search function. many topics have been discussed in detail on the forum and can be found this way. a tip i find useful when a search doesn't return what you're looking for, try an advanced Google search with honda-tech.com as the target URL.

this is a picture of the 2 valves. the two way valve is the round saucer looking thing and the bypass valve is with the arrow pointing to it. they 2 separate pieces but are screwed together by 2 screws. on your car it could be located on top corner of the fuel tank and will require the tank to be dropped to replace it. on some model civics like mine (98) was located on the corner of the tank and was accessible by removing a cover..hope that helps
