Anyway i just recently got my car lowered in the front and back but the had some miscalculations with the rear shocks so im putting different springs (And fixing up that yukky side without the door bumpers) this weekend and just wanted to know if you guys thought it was too low in the front. Im running 17"Advanti 6 spoke stalkers with 205 wheel size. Was thinking of upping the tire size to about 215 on front and maybe 235 or 245 on back. Hers the pics of it with front lowered.

 

Is that with only the front lowered? If so, it will probably tilt back a hair after you lower the rear.

 

Yea the front is lowered and back will be the same but the back shocks are alot bigger than was expected and even the shop i got my springs from didnt know what was up so im going to get some new rear shocks and a springs in the weekend.

 

Shocks do not affect ride height, unless they are something like Koni shocks with an adjustable spring perch. Having "big" shocks doesn't affect ride height, either, unless they're the wrong damper for the car with the spring perch higher than stock.

Having said that, the front looks awesome, but I'll bet your suspension travel is non-existent. As long as you have springs stiff enough to keep it from bottoming out, then you're all good.

 

Sorry im not good at explaining. What i mean is the shocks are alot longer than the front when jacked up and the aftermarket springs would come loose from the shocks and that would make my car not pass its Warrent or what ever you guys call road inspecton stuff so the car is would not be legally allowed to be driven.

 

Most places in the US don't have that check. I have heard of some European countries that do. They only way to remedy this is with an adjustable coilover with a long as spring(like 7" or 8"). That way you could raise it as high as it could go to pass your inspection then drop it to where you need it be.

 

huh? My GC's had 8" front springs and those were damn short - at least 2" above the spring at full droop with my ride height (not slammed).

Yea either coilovers or swap the springs out after the inspection but cops are green stickering lately
