1991 GS won't start after head gasket and starter install
Ok so I picked up this 1991 GS the other day with a blown head gasket and bad starter. I finished replacing both of them a couple hours ago and just can't get it to fire. It started and ran when I picked it up but now I've got nothing. Main relay engages, fuel pump comes on, starter is brand new, everything is hooked up correctly, and STILL it just spins and spins. Everything is happening like it's supposed to but it just won't get the party started and fire. Grounds are good, I'm getting fuel, and all fuses are fine too. I'm lost on this one. Someone with an idea please help!!!
The closest thing I can find on here after searching is this thread https://honda-tech.com/forums/showth...=won%27t+start but it still doesn't give me any answer. Thanks in advance for any input.

Check for compression.
Are you top dead center on cams, (arrows pointing up) and lined on your crank pulley.

I would assume the car sounds like its going to start(cranking), OR does it just spin? I did a head gasket job on my DC, and when I was done, the engine just kept spinning, no cranking. COme to find out, the timing belt jumpeda few teeth, and bent some valves. I am not saying that is what happend to you. Check for compression. Pull the fuel pump fuse first!

hey bud check your timing first most likely you have your timing 180 out but if that is not the problem check if you have spark cuz dizzy's go bad alot on hondas and its one or two of three things one: coil, two igniter, or three main relay let me know how it go's with it!
Thanks for the tips guys. It's been raining yesterday and today non stop and the CRX has the garage all taken up right now with a motor, suspension, and brake swap going on so I've gotta wait until it clears up to get back on the Integra in the driveway. I'll make sure I post the solution.... Whatever it may be. Haha.
