Default H2D CRX Si

What's up H-T?! About a year ago exactly I put the H2D in my crx and absolutely loved it!! Well, I ended up selling the h22 to get the f22b sohc vtec because it has the iron sleeves. Then I found out how much internals would cost for the f22. So I'm putting another h22 into my car. When I ran last March, I hit a 14.18 @ 98mph. That was with a shitty intake, header, exhaust, rear mount, and clutch. This time around I'll have a better intake, better tune, 6 puck clutch, and a poly filled rear mount. I'm hoping to break 13's this Saturday. Mind you, the motor was and will still be internally stock. Another thing to note is that we're at 3,622 ft. above sea level so we lose about 1 second on our 1/4 et. Here's some pix of the crx with the h22 and then with the f22. I'll be taking more pix and record a video of the start up when I go to put it in tomorrow.

Thanks! I'd like to see how fast I can go with just tuning the suspension and building the transmission. After that, I'll start building the motor. Plans are to keep it all motor.

I wish I could get my hands on a JDM L3 trans and take the gear set from it. Get a 4.7 final drive and obx lsd, and I should be set as far as the tranny goes. Well, I could still strengthen the gears.

Yeah, I'm going to put the battery back in the rear. My fiance keeps trying to get me to do a wire tuck. I keep telling myself I'm going to do it, but in then I'll end up forgetting about it.

H2D is a h/f series motor mated to a d-series trans. I like the fact that the d-series drive train is pretty much the lightest. I know it's not a huuuuuge difference, but I just have this thing about Power/Weight ratio. And for those of you that don't know, the d-series are actually stronger than the b-series trannies. The only weak point about the d- is the differential, but that is easily solved by getting an lsd installed.

Here's a couple pix:

poly filled rear mount, adapter plate, 6 puck clutch, bisimoto balance shaft cover, explicit speed performance 1/2" over alternator brackets.

the two other pix are quite interesting. when i went to torque down one of the adapter plate bolts it broke. so now i have to wait till later this morning and hope that hedi calls me with good news.

at least now i have time to mount my bottle and possibly pull the dash out of my car.

This is from the bisimoto website:

"Strength of the individual gears is also a big plus. Unlike their B-series bretheren, D-based gears are "stubby", and take well to abuse. "

Here is the link to the page where it talks about the H2D kit:

PROOF - evidence establishing a fact or the truth of a statement

B series transmissions are superior to D series transmissions. For some reason Bisi likes them, probably because they bolt to his favorite engines.

Just to be clear, his favorite engine is the F22 SOHC NON-VTEC. I'd like to see you tell that to Bisi himself.

Besides, I don't think you have enough experience with Hondas to confirm your statement. Bisi however does....

Go ahead and give Bisi a call: 888-922-6686

i don't know i'd be considered a fanboy if i'm running an h-series motor with a d-series trans. im not hating on b-series. my friend's gonna be running the h2b in his integra. if anyone else feels the need to say something stupid, please don't. h-t has a **** load of dumbasses already, don't make it worse.

For me personally and from expierience. We were blowing D series trannys on our 350 hp DOHC ZC turbo build back in 98. The car is still sitting to this day in my friends shop with a blown tranny. He is looking for the elusive D2B adaptor.

And yes he kept blowing Diff's. And yes d2b Adaptors exist.

i mentioned that the only weakness on the d-series trannies are the diffs. replacing with an aftermarket unit will fix that.
