so whats the difference with 2000 flamenco black pearl and 2001 Nighthawk black. My friend worked at acura and hes telling me there the same. Whats difference from 2000 Type R/ GSR black cuz both my car and my friends car have oem original paint never retouched but they look different. Can any one give me info if the pearls are different or its just a name?

 

flamenco black pearl has blue pearl and nighthawk black pearl has white mica and fine violet pearl. hope that helps you out.

 

the shades are different, they have to be. i've worked in the parts department at an acura dealership for the past three years and if american honda/acura changes a part number as far as color codes go, there is a difference in that particular color. i was trying to put an aspec wing on my rsx(2004) and they were only available for '05-'06 models. my car was SSM (satin silver metallic or NH623M) and the aspec wing for '05-'06 was ASM (Alabaster Silver Metallic or NH700M). the two colors looked extremely close in shade, barely noticeable to the untrained eye, but i could tell a difference and therefore opted against the wing. just my .02

NHBP only has blue specs. FBP has blue, green, and purple specs, which is noticeable in sunlight or with a flash.

 

I liked the NHBP 06 rsx-s I had.... however if would probably respray my 98 db8-R MR if i had the chance...

 

i went to a ppg store yesterday and asked the formula for my car and they said my 2000 spec Flamenco black pearl has only two pearls. is there a certain way to order or anyone know for certain i dont want to spend big bucks to get the paint color off please help or give your two cents in everyone

 

order it from acura and you dont have to worry about getting the wrong color

A lot of misinformation spreading here. Lets keep it simple, NHBP has blue flakes and FBP has gold flakes.

 

this is the only correct info in this thread. fbp is a far nicer color in the correct lighting.
