help ep3 6 speed
does anyone know where i can find a pic or the link to the shifter thing in the ep where you have to shave off in order to use the 6 speed in the ep3? i cant find it now that i need it. thanks
wtf noo thats not what im asking. i already have my k20a2 tranny from a a2 type s, and a 8 lbs flywheel along with a new clutch. i was asking about the shifter inside the car, you know that notch us ep3 owners have to do. i need that pic as a ref.
@orland, I'll pm you # for the guy who sold me my motor, he can prolly tell you how/where to do this. And I took some pics of some wirings around the tranny solenoid, but didn't really come out clear, let me try tomorrow and see if I could post some type of diagram. Damn, just get that tranny workin' lol...

not ture. ppl have shaved off and made a slot for 6th gear slide in. I had a option to do so w/ my swap, but opted out and got a type-s shifter mech instead.

Here's some pics I took and I'm pretty sure it's where the switch is wired to:
1. Look at the CIRCLE and the X, that red wire looks to be new and wired into plug which I assume replaced original wires???

2. The RED wire loops around/below the intake pipe

3. Same RED wire runs by the intake air filter

4. Finally, the RED wire leads into interior.

I think you'd want to look at the plug area carefully, cuz that's where the wiring really takes place. The rest is just running the wire and installing a switch on your dash somewhere. My thought is to find the original Reverse Lock Out wire for ep3 tranny and replace that with the switch your gonna install. If so, the wiring should be straight forward, just replace exactly the same way stock ones are wired. If still can't work it out, you're just gonna have to wait til' next week bro. GL!!!

haha its okay. but now clubep3.net sent me the wrong flywheel!!!!! i bought the comptech flywheel for a si and they gave me the one for a type s. so while my car was on the lift i had no choice but to buy my buddys brand new 6 puck clutch for a type s. so i have that now with a 6 speed trans and a almost done f'ed up motor lol. im still saving but burning holes in my pocket. i need to sell my clutch i got and sell my clutch master cylinder and slave. i didnt need them. my clutch on the car was toastedddd. the springs were coming out and theres like random metal **** everywhere.
this threadd could be be closed now. or nvm those pic cloumep3 gave me were good. i got my car back today. it drives amazing!!! its soo stuff and responsive with the insert and light weight flywheel. the clutch is sick as well grabs and slams you into your seat! i kept up with my budys fg2 today and i had a tapping motor.
