Default Removing a Sticker

Just need some info. On my civic I have a sticker on the bumper that we needed for the train station or else our car would get towed. Since I'm not working in NYC anymore I want to take this off, but Im pretty sure there is going to be that sticky stuff left on the bumper. Any suggestions on how to remove it. I heard about nail polish remover, but I dont want it to screw up the paint/clear coat.

Thanks

1. use blow dryer over the sticker, heat up, peel off
2. then apply goo gone on the residue, and then wipe off. WA-LA
