Icon6 B20- Vtec build help.

Ok I have a friend that wants to put in Higher compression pistons. Its a b20 bottom end STOCK with a gsr head. The head has itr valves springs, retainers, and itr cams. His intake is a skunk 2 mani and DC header. So my question is what dome piston is good for this set up wanna get the most out of the NA and not wanting to boost or spray.. Which my biggest conserns are Piston to valve clearance when in vtec. I know that itr cams arnt all that aggressive but just want to be safe and dont damage the valves + pistons. LMK what you guys thinks.

BRAND NEW Piston set for:
Honda / Acura B20 with B16A Head (+.03 w/GSR B18C head)

Part Number : P4-H84-P5
Bore: 84.00 (Std Bore)
Comp. Ratio: 12.5:1

so yea it'll be a little higher compression than b16, but i think you should be safe, like you said type r cams arent that aggressive. that compression i think is with 3 layer headgasket if he uses a 1 layer it'll be even more higher.

Noooo. I would've NEVER guessed....

I love how people buy sh*t and THEN come into the forum and ask IF what they bought will be alright.

Ever thought about doing a little thing called RESEARCH before you start buying sh*t? Or is that just a lost art?

The OP is asking about higher compression pistons though. If changing the pistons you should be able to use as big of cams as he wants.
