Default EJ1 - new rack or change inner tie rod?

Sup fellas, so my rack is shot on the drivers side where the inner tie rod goes into the rack..my car was giving me a strange pull to the left every time i get on her, took a peak and the boot where the rod and rack meet is gone and there seems to be A LOT of play. I wanted to know if I have to replace my entire rack or can I get away with just changing the inner rod.

Thanks in advance.

I would just change the rod, but I would do both sides at the same time, because I'm sure the other side is probably going bad as well. I did both sides on my car (inner and outer) for about $120. A new rack will run you well over $200. Be sure to do a rack guide adjustment afterwards, as well as get an alignment.
