d16a6 versuzs sohc zc flywheel, clutch differential interchangeable
Hi,
So My motor has gone. i'm going to get a new sohc zc
I want to get a 9 lb flywheel new clutch and lsd while I'm at it.
does anyone know if these transmission parts are the same? Between the two engines
Thanks
also, What;'s the difference between a stage 1 clutch and OEM
If I get a stage 1 will it not work well because I a, not making lots of Hp?
I think I make around 135 only

If you buy a 9lb flywheel with clutch it will fit both motors. Get one for the 92-00 Civic, its a bigger clutch and will bolt onto both motors. You transmission will fit fine as long as its 89 -91. 88 trannys have a different spline count.

I read the tranny part in the faq. But there was no mention of the sohc zc
The zc is the same as the 89-91 d16a6 even the tranny except the cam.
Is this correct

Okay, Now i have another issue.
Should I get the OEM or stage 1 clutch
Is the stage 1 too loud or something for street use?
The car does get some time on the track

How many splines does the sohc zc transmission have
This is stamped on my tranny
L3-2545465
The 88 and 89-91 d16a6 transmisions are different.
Are the sohc zc 88 and 88-91 transmissions also different?
The flywhheel is the same, the clutch is what's different

I hope this is true. The sohc zc is identical to the 90-91 d1a6
I'll order the flywheel/clutch kit and just get a clutch at napa if it doesn't fit
