Default eg si rear speaker pods

I have a CX, so needless to say, i had to use the rear deck for some extra speakers. I dont like that idea, so i was wonder if the rear panels for the CX are the same as the SI rear panels.

I know the main difference is that the SI's have speaker brackets and the CX's dont, but could i "remove" the speaker deletes and get some SI brackets and go from there?

Yes, but honda doesn't make them anymore and they are far and few between. I just saw a complete set go on ebay for under $100.
There is a guy here on H-T that can get you everyting but the brackets new, thats what I did. But I used the gathers dual rear speaker bracket and put it behind the SI speaker panel. If you pull your rear side covers off, the bracket pillar should already be there. Put up a WTB in the classifieds, check out wrecking yards and keep an eye on ebay.

yes. I think there are some sites that still have them along with the rear panels, but I just drilled holes in my cx panels which save alot of$$$ because they arn't cheap. You are talking about a h/b cx right? I've seen them on ebay, I got lucky & found my speaker holders in a junkyard.

The only CX model was a HB. And there is nobody that carries the rear speaker kit anymore. It was discontinued a couple years ago.
Hit up B18ctrb, thats who I got mine through.

Yea, the HB, im not about to go buy the Gathers set up, screw that. I just want to see if i can remove that delete panel and either get the MOUNTS for the si, or just fashion my own, and then put up some screen.

So i guess my overall question is if the delete panel is removeable, or if i gotts drimmel it out.

Yes, it pops right out. And I have seen lots of guys mount their speakers right into the delete panel, I just wanted a cleaner look is why I went with the Si speaker panels. I got the gathers for a steal, have a friend that lives in New Zealand, thats the only reason I had a set.
How is San Berdo? I grew up in Lake Elsinore, haven't been down that way in awhile.

How is it as far as honda scene? There are a lot of JDM fanboys out here, its weird/sad/funny.

Neighborhood wise, i almost hit a crack head walking across the street at night time, oblivious to oncoming cars.

As stated above, the panel itself is a direct swap. I have a friend who had a hatchback like ours, he just ziptied the speakers right into the mounts instead of getting the brackets. With the cover on, you'd never know LOL

LOL, doesn't sound like it has changed much. I finally had enough of the theft, crime, drugs, paranoia and the State of CA in general, so I moved up to the middle of nowhere Wyoming about 6 years ago.
