I just picked up a CLEAN set of 91 Si front seats.. problem is, they dont bolt up to the 89 Si holes.. Only the INNER front bolts bolt in. The rest arent even remotely close.
Ive come to the conclusion that i need to do one of 2 things:
1. buy the 89 rails and see if that would work.
2. trade the 91 seats for 89 seats and call it a day.

If anyone in So Cal has 89 Si rails they would sell me.. let me know. If anyone has 89 seats they would like to trade for some 91 Si seats, let me know..

 

that probably isn't gona work either, you will have to weld more than likely

 

well that is what your gonna have to do 88-89 rails dont work...and 90-91 are different i found that out the hard way..yes u can changed out the rails that will work..doesnt take to long but it is well worth it in the end...

 

this allways was **** up on 88-91 civic crxs.88-89 will work 90-91 will work,88 89 into 90 91 dont.also canada,jap and us are different also.weird isnt it?

get the 88-89 it will be a less of a headache.

 

you can switch out the bottom pan on the seats and that will work. take it to an apholstry(sp) shop and have them do it. the little clips are a pain

 

bahahahahahahahahahahaha a pain ur lazy thats all.....swap the pan form ur old seats and ull be fine there r 2 bolts on the one side and an allen key on the other side its very easy to do it use a pair of needle nose plyers to pry the lil ring clips off the actual fabric and then reassemble once u swap pans and itll bolt rigth in i have 91 si seats in my 88...u may have to swap passengers for drives but they will work fine ull see how to do it once u start

 

The problem is i dont have 89 seats, i need to buy the rails and see if i can swap the pans. I might just end up getting a whole new set of seats... the right set. If anyone is looking for some 91 Si seats (preffer local) let me know.. they are in PERFECT condition.. im also looking to buy a pair of 89 Si seats.
